We are a Santa Rosa, California based Electrical Contractor with over 30 years of Commercial, Residential and Industrial experience, looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator

The ideal candidate should be a skilled, self-motivated professional with at least 5 years experience within the commercial electrical estimating sector.

As an electrical estimator, you will provide detailed pricing and prepare electrical cost estimates for development of bid quotations and bid packages.

This opportunity requires working knowledge of all aspects of electrical design, including but not limited to switchgear lay-out, distribution panels and power panels. The candidate should also have a good knowledge of current Commercial Lighting, Design and Lighting Controls as per the State of California Title 24 requirements.

Candidate should have proficient computer skills, including Excel and Word and be able to deliver under tight deadlines.

Past field experience as an electrician is helpful, but not necessary.

Requirements:

• Become familiar with all contract documents                                                                                  (schedule, specifications, drawings, safety manual, etc.)
  
• Conduct site visits and collect information for proposals / estimates.
  
• Strong ability to interact with customers.
  
• Meet clients and maintain relationships
  
• Prepare electrical bids on new and remodel construction, tenant improvement projects and material take-offs. Design-build, as needed
  
• Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints and specifications
  
• Process Submittals and Construction Documents
  
• Code knowledge
  
• Experience with both government and private contracting
  
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
  
• Clean DMV
